01 Soft-Knit Fabric for Optimal Wearing Comfort

Composed of Bauerfeind's specialised breathable Train knit, the OmoTrain provides optimal thermoregulation through the knit's moisture-wicking capability, which reduces the accumulation of moisture and sweat to reduce sensitivity and ensure ideal compression during low and high levels of activity.

02 Functional Padding for Enhanced Therapeutic Effect

The anti-inflammatory therapeutic effect of the OmoTrain is supported by an anatomical triangular Delta pad, which is positioned at the site of tendon insertion to provide a massage effect at muscular and tendon insertion sites to relieve inflammation and pain associated with tendinitis and rotator cuff injuries. The pad exerts a deep pressure during movement to release tension and stiffness within the soft tissue, and enhance the circulation of blood and oxygen to the injured site to improve healing and range of motion, and facilitate the absorption of oedema. 

The function of the viscoelastic Delta pad is enhanced by the integration of dense friction nubs, which reinforce targeted and direct pressure at tendon insertion sites and common areas of irritation to override pain through a deep pressure exertion. The nubs massage the site during movement to accelerate the redistribution of fluid following swelling, whilst activating key mechanosensory structures for improved joint activation and perception. The collective influence of the nubs further promotes overall joint awareness for improved and controlled joint movement and mobility. 

03 Specialised Train Knit for Maximal Effectiveness

Crafted with Bauerfeind's high-tech specialised Train knit, the OmoTrain exerts robust intermittent medical-graded compression to stimulate and enhance circulation to the shoulder to reduce inflammation associated with soft tissue damage. The increase in circulatory activity activates the healing metabolism of the joint to improve joint recovery and fortify tendons and muscles against recurrence following injury and strain. This physiological effect is crucial to promote shoulder stabilisation, and is further enabled by the stimulatory effect of the active knit on muscles responsible for shoulder movement and stabilisation, such as the rotator cuff and upper arm muscles. The medical-graded compression acts on the muscles to enhance their activation to improve joint integrity against tenderness and weakness, particularly following subluxation, irritation and tendinopathy, whilst promoting controlled mobility and movement.

The three-dimensional design of the Train knit ensures a precise anatomical fit to promote a uniform compressive effect to achieve the desired therapeutic outcome.

04 Secure Strap System to Promote an Ideal Joint Position

The stabilising effect of the OmoTrain is enabled strongly by the innovative strapping system, which secures the aid to the body whilst ensuring the glenohumeral position is conducive to optimal healing and stabilisation. The robust strap secures the humeral head centrally in the glenoid cavity to ensure ideal anatomical form, whilst the joint is secured in a superior and posterior position to counteract anterior subluxation and dislocation tendency.

Reduced pressure at the edges of the support improves the interface with the skin by reducing constriction and impingement to ensure a seamless wear.

ENSURING A PERFECT FIT

The OmoTrain Shoulder Support is available in multiple sizes to ensure a perfect fit. Refer to the guide below to correctly measure for this product:

1. The point of measurement is approximately at the widest area of the bicep, predominantly near the belly of the muscle.
2. The arm should be positioned at a perpendicular angle during measurement.
3. Extract a single circumference measurement at the measurement point.
