Innovative Knit for Optimal Activation

Crafted with Bauerfeind's cutting- edge patented Train knit, the GenuTrain A3 Knee Support provides targeted relief and stabilisation of the knee joint through physiological and mechanosensory stimulation. Enabled through class 1 (Ccl1) medical- graded compression (18 mmHg), the support provides a mild yet effective degree of compressive action that promotes joint healing whilst enabling comfortable wear in individuals with compression sensitivity. Joint stabilisation is enabled through targeted activation of stabilising muscles to improve joint integrity and aid mobility and movement.

Functional Elements for Enhanced Therapy

In combination with the innovative compressive knit, the GenuTrain A3 is enhanced with an integrated silicone stabilising pad for targeted stimulation and swelling management. Its thickened three-pronged medial shape targets key medial structures, including the vastus medialis muscle, medial meniscus, and pes anserinus, for direct activation and stabilising support. Integrated friction nubs within the silicone pad exert strong massaging sensations to reduce pain, promote redistribution of fluid, and stimulate mechanosensation in the skin and muscle-tendon junction for maximal control and joint integrity during movement.

Adaptative Design for an Effective Wearing Experience

Constructed from a high-tech and breathable knit, the GenuTrain A3 effectively adapts to the contours of the knee to optimise the fit and mitigate slippage or migration for an effective wearing experience during both low and high intensity performance. The moisture- wicking material ensures optimal thermoregulation to enable long-term wear, reduce skin sensitivity, and prevent sweat accumulation during activity for a comfortable experience. 

An integrated expansion zone at the popliteal site enables the fabric to seamlessly adapt during movement and bending without pinching of the material on the skin, thereby preserving comfort during wear. 

 Integrated medial and lateral donning stays further enable easy donning and doffing of the aid without the need to grip the knit, thereby preserving the material whilst enabling easy handling.

A silicone dotted border at the proximal edge of the support maximises the fit and ensures the aid is secured effectively at the joint during activities or therapeutic exercises, even whilst the connective tissue may be compromised, thus improving the therapeutic effect of the support.

ENSURING A PERFECT FIT

The GenuTrain A3 Knee Support is available in multiple sizes to ensure a perfect fit. Refer to the guide below to correctly measure for this product:

1. The knee should be flexed at approximately 30 degrees whilst standing.
2. The starting point for measurement is on the lateral joint at the same level as the midpoint of the patella.
3. The first measurement (1) is extracted 14 cm up the thigh from the starting point.
4. The second measurement (2) is extracted at the narrowest point below the knee.
