Ordering Options

The CoxaTrain Hinge Set can be ordered in 2 sizes:

Short: For patients with a height of less than 1.70 m

Long: For patients with a height of greater than 1.70 m.

The hinge set is delivered with a joint covering cap, fabric lateral splint protector, two trochanter cushions (grey fabric cover) and two oval Trochanter Pads (blue fabric cover). 

The lateral splint with restrictable eccentric hinge to connect the CoxaTrain pelvic support and thigh support to produce the CoxaTrain Hip Brace. The joint splint is manually shapeable without the requirement of additional tools, and is inserted into the right or left of the pelvic support and fixed to the leg with the thigh support. In addition, the height of the eccentric hinge can be adjusted using a six-level dial. 

The trochanter cushion protects the greater trochanter, the bony protrusion of the thigh bone, against friction and pressure peaks. During walking, the Trochanter Pad moves up and down in the joint splint and massages the soft tissue above the greater trochanter. This relaxes the muscles carrying out the movement and increases the general support provided by the CoxaTrain Hip Brace.
