After wearing The AchilloTrain Ankle Support, I can comfortably say that this product did exactly that! Offer support to my Achilles as I am having a flare-up with Achilles Tendinitis. I've had this issue for months now and the pain can be quite debilitating. But I have seen improvement in the pain since wearing The AchilloTrain Ankle Support. Before wearing this support, the daily pain level fluctuated from a 7-9 but now most days its a manageable 2-4, and the pain comes and goes, not constant as it previously was. The only thing is that I measured my ankle at the narrowest part and based the size of my purchase on what they suggest would be the right fit, but I should have bought the size down to make it a more snug fit as the heavy material is stretchy. But if one suffers from oedema as I do, then the larger size accommodates for those times the oedema occurs. I was impressed by the quality as this product is very well made and feels like a more expensive support, whereas I have purchased other support items that were similar in price, and they are flimsy and lightweight by comparison. It seems a product of this quality has been developed based on medical studies and clinical findings, as the results I have experienced speak for themselves. Therefore, I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It has been well worth the investment.

Its medical-grade compression knit and Achilles pads make it great for supporting the ankle and managing the pain and inflammation that often accompany the condition. Regarding sizing, it can be tricky to get it right, especially if you sit between two sizes. It's good to hear the brace accommodates your oedema. Definitely provides me with extra support and protection from an old Achilles tendon injury during my weekly 5km runs and interval running.
Down side is I think you really need a pair as the small support wedge for other leg sometimes shifts around too much.

The silicon support coupled with the flat knitted compression material achieves that comfortable fit and support without losing its position. Its also quite breathable compared with standard neoprene products particularly with our extensive sizing system.
Achilles tendon injuries are never fun and wish you all the best with the ongoing recovery
