The first patient is braced for the CBP by Dr Merv Cross.
16 new Patients join the CBP trial.
Bauerfeind partners with Dr Cross, and a committee of orthopaedic surgeons, and physiotherapists. After months of research and testing, the committee selects the SecuTec Genu from 16 ROM braces across the industry as the most accurate, reliable and suitable brace. We begin to develop custom limitation blocks so the SecuTec Genu meets CBP needs.
100 patients are braced in a study utilising the modified SecuTec Genu Brace. The majority of patients undertaking the CBP adopt the SecuTec Genu. It becomes the preferred option amongst practitioners and patients.
A study of 80 patients shows signs of ligament healing at the 3-month MRI scan. Results are published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.
Bauerfeind becomes an official research partner of the University of Melbourne, collaborating with Dr Stephanie Filbray and her team for an upcoming randomised controlled trial of the CBP.
Bauerfeind in research partnership with the University of Melbourne trains the key hub physiotherapy clinics across Australia for the imminent launch of the RCT study.
